Initiated by the Top Management and
piloted by the Marketing Department, Wheelabrator Allevard Sales
University (WASU) is a project devoted to offer the best training and
support to the sales and technical assistance teams of the Group. Following
its successful launch in 2008, a first group of trainees participated
in a 2-Part course, achieved the final exam required for graduation and
received their diplomas. The class 2009 already achieved the 1st Part of the course and will be attending the 2nd Part which includes the final exam and diploma granting, on 14th of October, in Cheylas. During
April and May 2009, the training program has been successfully carried
out in Nagoya by new trainers with the participation of selected candidates from Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, India and UAE. This
has been also the beginning of the courses held outside France. In
2010, it is foreseen to extend training programs to North and South
America for selected candidates. In
October 2009, a training session is held for the agents and
distributors of the group focusing on the technical modules of the
curriculum which is also followed by trainees coming from Austria,
Finland and UAE. This initiative, highly appreciated by the trainees,
will be carried in coming years. In order to train qualified
and operational personnel with WASU, we encouraged all managers to
propose candidates for the 2010 programme. Next training programs will
be organized according to the number of the trainees. In 2010, a
gradual recovery of the world economy is expected, so now is the time
to train the staff who will meet the challenges of a growing global
market.
